Henry Hernandez, 93, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away in the early evening of Sunday, April 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Henry was born in Parsons, Kansas on May 22, 1930 to Clotilde and Espeditio Hernandez. Henry graduated from Parsons High School in 1948 where he lettered in Golf.

Henry worked as a painter in the auto industry, and he was quite talented in auto bodywork which he applied to repair cars in his home garage. Henry enjoyed a good Sunday watching NFL football, especially watching his favorite team the Kansas City Chiefs win four Super Bowls. Henry also enjoyed attending car shows, trains, and watching classic TV western shows on the box. He was a budding photographer that captured anything to do with his family, including during his vacations.

Henry was a proud member of All Saints Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas.

Henry is survived by his sons Robbie (Cheryl) Hernandez, Henry Fernando (Debra) Hernandez, John (Kristi) Hernandez, and daughter Lisa (Dean) Cope. He is also survived by grandchildren Denisa, Robbie, John R. Jr. (Bobby), Aavril, Amanda, Kyle, Amelia, Alayna, Jacob, Cody, Karson, and many great grandchildren.

Henry was the last to reunite with his parents, his four sisters, and two brothers in the ever after.

He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather to his surviving family and his impact will be forever felt by his family and friends who loved him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time.
