"Judy" Marie (Miller) Kelly died on March 3, 2017 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Judy's life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18, 2017, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and services beginning at 11:00 AM at Hillside Christian Church, 900 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO. Judy was born November 26, 1951 to Donald and Helen Miller. She graduated from Xenia High School in Xenia, Ohio in 1969, where she met her husband, Virgil. They married in 1972 and have two children and one grandchild. Along with raising a family, Judy built a successful career in banking, but eventually, health problems would force her out of full-time work. Retirement, however, didn't suit her all that well; she liked to keep active, and she joined Hillside Christian Church and became the Director of Outreach in 2002. Judy coordinated numerous outreach efforts, including the church's "Care Cupboard," a food pantry open a couple of hours each week. In 2009, it was clear that the need for help was so great that she began an effort to expand the Care Cupboard. In doing so, she created a new charity, HOPE.wrx, which provides a food pantry and hygiene essentials to help those who need assistance as well as food assistance to children at 9 Northland schools. Judy was preceded in death by her father Donald F. Miller, sister Patricia Ann Miller, father-in-law and mother-in-law Gene and Jacqueline Kelly, and sister-in-law Sherry L. Graham. Judy is survived by her mother, Helen M. Miller, sister Carolyn S. Gibbons and her husband, Garry Gibbons, sister Janet L. Anderson and her husband Jim, brother Steven M. Miller and his wife Kathy, sister-in-law Pamela J. Kelly, brother-in-law Gary Kelly, brother-in-law Patrick Kelly and his wife Sherri, brother-in-law Henry Graham, husband Virgil R. Kelly, son Kevin Kelly and his wife Shahrina, daughter Tonya Taibi and her husband Michael, grandson Brennan M. Taibi, and lots of nieces and nephews.
