Patricia Ann McIntire-McCumbie, Age: 70

Patricia Ann (Brocato) McIntire-McCumbie, 70, of Kansas City, Mo, passed away on May 6th, 2017.

 

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM May 13th at First United Methodist Church of Kearney. Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM at the church prior to service.

 

Patricia was born in Buffalo, NY on July 21st ,1946 to parents Mary Ann Crocker and James Brocato. Patricia was married to John Alan McCumbie on July 17th ,1993; they were married 18 years before John’s death in 2011. Patricia worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Veterans of Foreign Wars for 25 years before retiring in 2009. She enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating cakes and spent hours crocheting, sewing and knitting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also volunteered at the Food Bank in Kearney and actively attended Bible Study with friends.

 

Patricia is survived by her brother Chris Boutet of Pass Christian, MS; 2 daughters Traci Montes of Kansas City, MO and Mary Cherry (Ron) of Gladstone, MO. Six grandchildren: Johnathan Stidham, Victoria Bailey, Patricia “Alex” Montes, Anthony Haynes, Anastasia Haynes, and Kira Cherry; Two great grandsons, Julien and Marley. Special niece and nephew whom she holds near and dear to her heart; Melissa Garcia (Rudy) and Jose Cajigas (Linda); Great nieces and nephews Cameron Nicole & Matthew Joseph Garcia and Lily Grace & John Joseph Cajigas; Nephew Ryan Boutet of Baton Rouge, LA. As well as her best friend of 34 years JoAnne Attigliato and many other dear friends she held close to her heart. She is also survived by her fur baby Willie. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband John McCumbie, mother Mary Ann Pizza, father James Brocato, and sister Mary Grace Cajigas.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Luke’s Hospice House of Kansas City or Heartland Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Kansas City. The family of Patricia Ann McIntire-McCumbie wishes to thank the staff of St. Luke’s Hospice House for their support and compassion during our difficult time.
