Kurt Brannon Soper
May 17, 1982 - Oct 22, 2017

You are a Fighter. You are a Mountain Climber. You are a Finish-Line-Crosser. You are a CHAMPION! You are a Husband, a Daddy, a Son, a Brother and a Friend! You are a Hero! You are Saved! You are Redeemed! BUT most of all…you are HIS!

Kurt’s journey — his beautiful life — is complete salvation. It is a mustard seed faith; it is complete proof of how the smallest amount of faith and complete conviction in the belief of our Lord and Savior; that mountains can be moved. It is proof that His love is everlasting!

Kurt’s journey is complete salvation in our pain in that there is proof of eternal life — the space between heaven and earth — it is so thin — you can feel it! All you have to do is shine your light. All you have to do is BE A YES!

Listen closely — that whisper on your back it is HIM awaiting you — feel that — that nudge — it’s HIM — say YES!

We all know, my Beloved Kurt, when you made it home Jesus said: “Well done Son. Hallelujah You’re Home!”

Kurt  was loved by his wife Carrie Soper, daughter Ava Soper (daddy’s little Boo-Boo), his parents Jim and Marcia Soper, brother Chad Soper, mother and father-in-law Chris and Kelly Finnerty, brother-in-law Ryan (Amanda)  and sister-in-law Kayla Finnerty  (Ian); nieces and nephews Taylor, Peyton, Brady and Emmett Finnerty.

A Celebration of Kurt’s life will be held 11:00 am, Friday, November 3, at Church of the Resurrection, Building A, 5009 W. 137th, Leawood, Kansas 66224.

To Carrie and Ava, I'm not good with words. I just want to let you know that Y'all are in my thoughts and here's to the Lord, our savior Showering blessings down on your family in this difficult time And throughout the transition period. Rest knowing that Kurt is with the Lord and this separation is temporary and y'all will see Each other again and he will be there to welcome you. Things will be difficult. Allow yourself to grieve. Y'all are loved by many.

Both sad and joyful feelings floating around. Kurt was a special and amazing young man, and as you know he is missed by many. As the Carrie and Ava open a new chapter in their lives, they have comfort in knowing Kurt is in the heavens looking after them.
