Kenneth Louis Fleischman was born Dec. 26, 1944 to Emma Jaspering Fleischman and Louis Albert Fleischman of Higginsville, MO. Ken passed away June 4, 2018 after suffering a stroke in March. Ken’s gift in life was making old things new. In his younger years, his passion was making old cars new. In his adult life he focused on making old houses new in Leawood, KS and in Napoleon, MO. Finally he helped Marcia, his wife, through illness and a double lung transplant, making her new again. Ken graduated at Central Missouri State in Warrensburg with a degree in Industrial Technology. He worked in several industries including Hallmark and Austin Company. He left the corporate world to become a general contractor.

Ken leaves his wife, Marcia Cope Fleischman, his daughters and their husbands: Lucia Cope Cassidy (Chuck) of Bethesda, MD and Sarah Jaspering Kaiser (Chris) of Leawood, KS, and four grandchildren: Eliza, Caroline, Jack and Alex.
