L. Kenneth “Ken” Britt, 92, of Olathe, KS, passed away October 3, 2018.  Ken was born in Ft. Lupton, CO.  He was predeceased by his parents Lester S. and B. Cleo Britt and his wife of 67 years, Marie S. Britt.  He is survived by two his daughters, Linda Brown and Marcia Staehle, his sons in law, Gary Brown and Steve Staehle, his grandchildren, Matthew Brown and Gina Brown, his five great grandchildren, and his sister, Elaine Douglas.  Ken enlisted in the Army Air Corp, served in the US and Panama.  He was discharged in Nov. 1946 and then attended KCJC & KU.  He was employed by Zahner & Company until his retirement in 1990.  During his investment career, Ken was elected Governor of the Southwest Investment Bankers Association of America, a director of the Public Securities Association and also served on the Board and as Chairman of District 4 of the National Association of Securities Dealers.  He was a member of the Leawood Lions Club.  He served as a lector and Eucharistic minister at Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Ken owned and restored antique Fords and was a member of the Plain Ol’ A’s Model A Ford Club.  He enjoyed flying, boating, water and snow skiing and woodworking.  Donations may be made in his memory to the JDRF and Crossroads Hospice.
