­The family of Robert “Rob” Thomas Riseman would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus and a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time.  His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, designing and studying everything he has ever wanted to know more about.  

Music, laughter and love are guaranteed.  He left detailed instructions for his family to celebrate his mission here, which has now been completed.  Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.

Rob passed away peacefully at home in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 70 on September 28^th, 2018.

Rob is survived by his wife Judith, son Ashley, first wife Donna, stepsons Rob Reeder and his wife Christina, Steve Reeder and his wife Debbie, grandchildren Nicolas Riseman, Christina Reeder-Zapata and her husband Alex and Michael Reeder.  He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Dee Riseman of Kansas City, Missouri, his granddaughter Jennifer Reeder of Springfield, Missouri and his beloved dogs, Missy, Muffy and Max.

Rob was born on May 12^th, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He graduated from Ruskin High in 1966.

Rob was an accomplished entrepreneur, creative interior designer and business owner.  He was a generous, witty, jovial and dedicated individual who loved his family and members of his congregation.  He was an active and dedicated member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church.

A memorial service is scheduled for October 12^th, 2018 at 5 p.m. at the Abundant Life Baptist Church, 304 SW Persels Road, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64081.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rob’s life.  The family would like to thank the dedicated team of doctors and nurses of St. Luke’s Hospital as well as the hospice caregivers of St. Luke's Hospice
