Gary Lee Duffield

Gary Lee Duffield, 84, passed away on October 13, 2018.  Born on October 26, 1933 in Sioux City, IA.  Gary was preceded in death by his wife Maryanne, and is survived by his daughter, Jennifer, and three granddaughters.  After serving in the Army in Panama for the Corp of Engineers, he worked for Shafer, Kline, and Warren civil engineering firm for 53 years.  He was the only surviving charter member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Olathe, Kansas and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Overland Park.  Gary became a private pilot and was an accomplished guitar player and singer.  He was known for his all black attire and always wearing a hat.  A visitation will be held on October 26, 2018 at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 21155 College Blvd., Olathe, KS.
