Linda Lou Smith, Age: 72
Jan 10, 1952 - Apr 04, 2024

Linda Lou Smith, 72, of Liberty, MO,  was born on January 10, 1952 to Clifford and Mary Lou Emanuel of Raytown, MO.  Her soul left this earth on April 4th , 2024.  She spent most of her younger years working for the United States Postal Service.  She retired in 1998 after a long fight against breast cancer.

Linda loved to travel and went on many trips with her girlfriends.  She always looked forward to her next adventure.  She especially loved her trips to Alaska, Cancun, South Dakota, and most especially her trips to Universal Studios Florida with her grandson Josh.

Linda hasn’t always had an easy life.  She was widowed at the age of 38 and lost her first born son in a car accident when she was 46.  She has longed to be home with Jesus for a very long time.  We are rejoicing that she is finally at peace

She is survived by her children David Waugh of Topeka, KS and Holly Waugh of Liberty, MO.  She was also blessed with six grandchildren Bob’s son Joshua Waugh and David’s children Robin, Joseph, Jacob, Quinn, and Luke Waugh.   She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Smith in 1990 and her son Robert (Bob) Waugh in 1998.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Holly and family, my heart goes out to you. I think of my own mothers on a regular basis. She also suffered and died from COPD. May God grant you all peace. You were great caring for her.
