Henry Eugene Viehweg, 84, Overland Park, Kansas passed away January 17, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House with his family members by his side. Gene was born March 9, 1925 in East St. Louis, IL. He attended Washington U. in St. Louis, Iowa State U. in Ames, IA, Columbia U. in New York and Naval Officer's Supply School in Bayonne, N.J. He served as Supply Officer on the U.S.S. Fiske. Gene worked 40 years at Ryerson Steel in St. Louis, Tulsa, and North Kansas City in various sales and management positions. Gene was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Ks. Gene is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jacqueline of the home, son Robert and wife Lisa, son Donald and wife Karen all of Olathe, Ks. Gene is also survived by his grandchildren, Brad, Kelli, Hana and Jack Viehweg, and Shaun Fortuna.
