Mary J. Satterwhite, Age: 67

Sep 13, 1959 - Oct 27, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Mary J. Piper Satterwhite (September 13, 1959 – October 27, 2026). She passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by loved ones after fighting cancer over the past year. Recently, she was able to take the beach trip she had been so desperately wanting to take.

Mary held several jobs throughout her lifetime, but caring for other people's dogs was her true calling in life. She loved animals, and they certainly loved her in return. Mary was very dedicated to yoga and found her second home and family at In bliss yoga studio.

She was an aunt to 9 nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to over 20 great-nieces and great-nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.. She is survived by her brother, Larry Piper, and her sister, Nancy Piper Whitehead. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Penny Rothrock and Judy Piper, and her brother, J.L. Piper.

A celebration of life will be held at: In Bliss Yoga Studio – 5106 Waukomis Dr. Kansas City, MO on Sunday, November 22nd from 4:00 – 7:00.

In lieu of donations, please make a charitable gift to your local animal shelter – whether that’s food, money, blankets, towels, dog/cat toys, treats or volunteering your time – it all makes a difference.❤
