Megan Eileen Fugitt-Oge, affectionately known as Meg, passed away on October 26, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 44, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Megan was an absolute force of nature. She was funny, fun-loving, thoughtful, and someone who was incredibly easy to talk to. She had a fiery spirit, was tough as nails, and possessed a confidence that never overshadowed her humility. She was capable, dependable, and, above all, just genuinely good people.
She found happiness in the things she loved, including LEGO, puzzles, soccer, reading, keeping up with her nails, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. She especially treasured spending time with her family and making memories together, particularly at the lake.
Megan had a personality all her own. She could fall asleep just about anywhere, apparently knew how to Riverdance like a master, and firmly believed her Prius was capable of driving through just about anything. She brought fun, laughter, and a little bit of adventure wherever she went.
Her life wasn’t defined by the cancer she battled, but she certainly showed the world what it meant to fight. Even after receiving a terminal diagnosis, Megan put up one hell of a fight. Her strength and determination through an unimaginably difficult journey will not be forgotten.
Megan is survived by her husband, Cody; her daughter, Maddy; her son, Mason; her parents, Sue and Dennis; and her siblings, Shawn, Corey, Amanda, Justin, and Nicole. She will also be missed by her extended family and many friends.
There will never be another Megan. She was equal parts fire and heart, strength and laughter, confidence and humility. She was the kind of person who could make you laugh, make you feel comfortable, and make an ordinary day a little more memorable. She lived life in her own way, fought harder than anyone should ever have to, and left behind memories that will last a lifetime. She was truly one of a kind.
