After a long illness, the son of Julia and Frank Hesselroth passed away August 20, 2016.  He was 75 years old. Fred was a father to Judd Hesselroth (Yayoi) and grandfather to Donovan and Zoe.  He leaves behind his brother Bill Hesselroth (Cindy), sisters Kathy Donaldson (Bob) and Sheila Kilpatrick (Dan), stepsons Stephen and Spencer Valentine, along with his niece Wendy McNeil (Ty), nephews Graham Hesselroth (Eve), Jason Wetmore (Mindy), Matthew Kilpatrick (Bridget), and Jonathan Kilpatrick.

Fred graduated from Southwest High school and the University of Missouri.  He was a member of Dan Devine’s 1961 Orange Bowl team, and remained a devout fan throughout his life.  While at Mizzou he was a member of Sigma Chi.

The family wishes to express gratitude towards Heartland Hospice for the tender care given to Fred.

The family will? have a memorial service 1:30 pm, Sat. October 1, 2016 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 11 E. 40th St., Kansas City, Missouri.
