Lawrence “Larry” Morgan, 87, of Shawnee, KS, passed away May 1, 2019 at the Olathe Hospice House after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn; daughter, Patty Morgan Osbern; grandchildren, Zach and Carolyn Osbern.
Larry was born and raised in Atchison, KS served in the Korean War and spent 42 years in Manhattan, KS, where, after 35 years of employment as a Customer Engineer, he retired from IBM. He and Carolyn moved to Shawnee, KS in 2001 to be closer to their grandchildren. Larry could build and fix anything and would lend a helping hand to anyone. He did so very much for and with his two grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. He and Carolyn built and enjoyed a vacation cabin north of Durango, CO for over 30 years. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
