Peter “Petey” Lee Stathas, 24, of Kansas City, Ks died April 25, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident. Peter was born March 28, 1997 to Cindy K. Collier and Shawn K. Stathas, both of Kansas City, KS. He was loved by many people and really excited about being an uncle again. He was preceded in death by his Mom, Cindy K. Collier and Grandma Janice I. Stathas. Survivors include his father, Shawn K. Stathas of Kansas City, Kansas, his Sisters Brittany D. Hatfield, Hannah (Dawson) Taylor, Samantha R. Stathas, his Brothers Brant McMillan, Brandon Catron, his Grandparents Homer and Gloria Collier, Larry and Shirley Mooney, and Grandpa Steve R. Stathas, his Stepmom Teresa A. Stathas, and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th St., Kansas City, Kansas at 1:30 pm. He will be remembered for his love of cars and racing.

In memory of a young man, looking forward to an exciting life in the car kingdom, cut short. May we remember him for his zeal to live on the edge. Life will carry on his legacy, hopefully we learn from history. Pete, I remember you at the Royals game, getting autographs. He is now in our creator's care, in His Love, Mercy, and Grace. Till we meet again.

dang bubba almost a year now and i still think about you everyday. i miss you like crazy. it all felt like a nightmare when i heard what happened. i still remember the day we met 13 year old me listening to your goofy ass laugh the first time you called me your sister when i slapped adian with money you looked me dead in the eyes laughed and said yep your my lil sister and my heart jumped for joy. i still hear you yelling for me everyday. christmas morning that yeah when i hit you with that water bottle waking you up feeling your arms wrap around m e telling me you loved me one last time thats all i wish for. i miss you and love you so much
