January 25, 1934 - May 1, 2021

Howard Stanley Flint, 87, of Spring Hill, Kansas, died peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, May 1, 2021.  He was born to the late Clarence and Ethel Flint on January 25, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas. Howard graduated from Central High School in 1952.  He married Jacquelyn Grace Chappel in September 1958, and there are three surviving children from their marriage:  Michele Griffith (and husband Gary Griffith), Howard Stanley Flint, Jr., and Pamela Gayle Canfield (and husband Alan Canfield).  He married his second wife Delores Stoehr in April 1993.  They loved to go “two‐stepping” back in the day and travel around the United States in their RV.  Howard always had a passion for boating at Lake of the Ozarks, Table Rock Lake, and Lake Perry.  He is survived by eight grandchildren:  Jason Hinemeyer (and wife Jackie Hinemeyer), Stephanie Hinemeyer, Caleb Canfield, Joshua Canfield, Sara Griffith Dawson (and husband Doug Dawson), Katie Griffith, Max Flint, and Evie Flint.  Howard is also survived by two great grandsons:  Jaren Hinemeyer and Jace Hinemeyer.  Howard was preceded in death by his wife Delores Flint, his parents Clarence and Ethel Flint, his sister Helen Whitworth, and Jacquelyn Flint.

Dad always had a smile on his face, a great sense of humor, and was the most laid back person.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Blackhawk Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for their special dedication and care for Howard.

A memorial service will be held June 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS 66215. Following the memorial service, the family will have a private graveside service.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Heartland Hospice, 4501 College Blvd, Suite 250, Leawood, KS 66211  (https://www.promedica.org/waystogive/hospice‐memorial‐fund/donate/) or Heart of America Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.alz.org/kansascity)
