Laura Hale, 57, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on March 9, 2022 after a long battle with ALS. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.
Laura was born on September 3, 1964 to Cornelius and Marie Hale in Chattanooga, TN. After Laura graduated from Center High School, she went on to get her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Rockhurst University.
Laura was a registered nurse for over 30 years. She worked in many hospitals and specialties, but had a special love for psychiatric nursing. She was also a nurse educator teaching LPNs. As a nurse she dedicated her life to helping others.
Laura married Randy James and they would go on to to have two children, Samuel and Rachel.
Laura was predeceased by her parents Cornelius and Marie, her brother Doug, and her sister Connie. She is survived by her children Samuel and Rachel, grandchildren Adriauna, Aaron, and Kameron, and her brothers Floyd, Patrick, and Matthew.
Services will be held at St. Thomas More Parish in Kansas City, MO on March 17, 2022 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the ALS Association.
