Susan Faye McMahon, Age: 78

Susan Faye McMahon, 78, of Kansas City, MO. passed away September 8, 2022. Memorial services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday September 21, 2022 at Platte Woods United Methodist Church, 7310 NW Prairie View Road, Platte Woods, MO. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until service time at the church. Susan was born June 18, 1944 in Quincy, IL. She was the only daughter of Rev. Walter C. and Mildred W. Burk. She graduated from William Jewell College with a degree in Elementary Education. She was the first student in her graduating class to obtain a teaching contract. She taught in the North Kansas City School District and Park Hill School District. She completed her Masters Degree in Educational Counseling and finished her career as head counselor of the Kansas City MO School District. 

 

She was proceeded in death by her husband Gene Mc Mahon, her parents, and niece Rebekah Dawn Burk. She is survived by her two sons Jeffrey Mc Mahon of Kansas City, MO and Brad McMahon (Candace) of Houston, TX. and five grandchildren: Mikey, Joey, Salena, Alisia, and Mia.

I had such a happy relationship with Susan as a child. You can believe that she and I really clicked in family get togethers. I pray that you are comforted as you remember her and know that she is with her Lord.
