Sharon Kay Baylor, 77, of Liberty, MO passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Liberty Hospital.
Sharon was born on August 23, 1945 in Kansas City, MO and raised by parents Mary (Beaver) and Francis Norman Mansell.
She attended High School and graduated in Raytown, MO. She was a very social person and had many lifelong friendships. Her smile and laugh lit up the whole room.
During her career she worked at 2 Engineering Companies; Black & Veatch and George Butler and Associates (GBA). In Texas she worked at Del Rio Health Department and served as President of Texas-Mexico Board of Health. She has so many friends from these years still to this day. We are so thankful.
Sharon had many hobbies which brought her great joy. From buying, selling, trading and collecting Barbies, to doing too many crafts to count, and sewing. She learned this trait at a very young age from her Grandma Southard. She excelled at every creative thing she attempted.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters Paula Mars and Dana Stone. Sisters Diana Mansell and Judy Nejdl and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Visitation from 11:00 am –12:00 pm and Service 12:00 pm –1:00 pm at ECC of Shawnee Church located at 5650 Renner Rd., Shawnee, KS 66217.

Oh Sharon, you’re gone too soon. I will certainly miss your visits to Phoenix and chats on the phone with Di and I. I enjoyed your sense of humor and appreciated your generosity. Know that you are loved and will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to all of the family.
