Marc Miller is my brother so on my many trips to Bloomfield, Iowa to visit my family, Karen would be there with my brother. She was like family to me. We would take walks around the Bloomfield square in the morning and coffee at a little restaurant there. We had such fun together and stayed in touch throughout the year. Even though I have never met any of her brothers and her sister, I want you to know how fondly she spoke of all of you as well as of Jennifer. My brother, Marc, and all of my family loved her beyond words and will miss her more than any of us can say. She was a bright light in all of my visits back home and her light will shine for all of you now as you live on such special memories of her. I loved her dearly. Vicki

Dear dear Karen, I will forever miss your laugh and all of our silly conversations and reminiscing about the Miege days…….and all that that implies! You were Paula’s friend and then you got to be my friend. I will be forever grateful. My heart is happy knowing you are with Chris and your mom. ❤️❤️

I was deeply saddened to hear of Karen's death. Working together at AT&T was a enjoyable time for us. As you said Karen had a marvelous sense of humor. She was quite the bridge player. Gene, you were the last Gustafson brother I got to talk to. You were such a loving, caring brother.

We sure are going to miss Karen and those times we all spent together in Bloomfield. Some of the best memories we all shared with Karen were boating at Lake Rathburn, fishing at Delzell’s Pond, golfing at the country club & drinks at Slicks on Thursdays just to mention a few. All of us will forever miss Karen, her smile and witty sense of humor could bring joy to any room and make everyone feel welcome. Our Dad (Marc) & Karen spent many wonderful years together traveling to Phoenix, Las Vegas, the mountains of Colorado and many summers at Lake of the Ozarks all while enjoying each other companionship & making everlasting memories together. We were all blessed to have Karen as a part of our family, and she will hold a special place in all our hearts.
