Robert “Bob” Gene Bowen

Bob passed away on April 6, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents Murry “Red” Bowen and Mamie Bowen, and brother Leonard Bowen.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Jacklyn “Jackie” Bowen of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. His son Robert “Rob” Bowen and daughter-in-law Rhonda Bowen of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. His granddaughter Rylee Bowen and great granddaughter Remington “Remi” Ramsey of Raytown, Missouri.

Bob was a 1956 graduate of Central high school in Kansas City. He worked for Stuart Hall in Kansas City from 1961 until 1992, leaving the company as Vice President of Information Systems.  He then took a similar position with American Pad and Paper of Plano Texas which he held until 2000. He retired from Williamhouse of Plano Texas in 2002.

He was a very caring, loving person.  He would help anyone he could. He loved living on the lake, loved the Chiefs and Welsch Terriers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Lung Association, or the City Union Mission.
