David Wayne (Goldie) Phillips, 74 of Oak Grove MO passed away on April 19th 2025. David was born on November 9th 1950 to Robert and Betty Phillips.

He served in the National Gaurd and retired from Jackson County Public Works as road reconstruction foreman. He was a loving husband and father and a wonderful big brother.

He is survived by his wife Darlene Phillips, his 4 children Amanda Phillips (Rusty) of Harrisonville, Andrew Phillips (Angie) of Butler, Jacob Phillips (Hannah) of Lone Jack and Dillon Phillips of the home; brother Daniel Phillips (Nancy) of Grandview 2 step children Amber Steele (Danny) of Liberty, Nicholas Burton of Gladstone 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous family and friends.

David came from a large family. He was preceded in death by both parents Robert and Betty 2 siblings Peggy Doe and Robert Phillips Jr.

He passed his love of sci-fi to his children. Come join us on May 4th 2025 to celebrate his life at Noon at Lake Jacomo Shelter 6 for a BBQ. Please bring a side dish and a drink and a few good stories about Big Dave.
