William Larry Underwood, Age: 83
Jan 29, 1942 - Jun 02, 2025

William Larry Underwood, born January 29, 1942, in Mexico, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, in Liberty, Missouri, at the age of 83. Larry was the beloved son of the late Dorothy and William Underwood.

A proud Navy veteran, he served his country with honor and carried that same sense of duty and strength throughout his life. His dedication to family, integrity, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn; his parents; his brother, Doc Underwood; and his sister, Lana Jo Wisley. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life. He is survived by his children, Mike Underwood and Sherri (Donnie) Mordecai, and grandchildren, Gavin Underwood, Griffin Underwood, Brett (Paige) Mordecai, and Clayton (Sarah) Mordecai.

Larry especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren—he was their biggest fan, never missing a chance to watch them play sports or celebrate their accomplishments. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and the quiet peace it brought him. These were the moments that truly filled his heart.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Liberty, Missouri, located on 10 E. Franklin St, 64068.
