Robert K. Lehman

"Bob" passed away November 8 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas.

 

He was born February 27, 1933, in Carbon Hill, Ohio- the only child of lvan and Margaret Lehman.

 

Bob graduated from Ohio University with a BS degree in Geology. After college he served the United States Air Force as a pilot and other duties.

 

Bob was a professional geologist and engineering-geologist. He worked for the Kansas Highway Commission, Engineering Geology Services and then 35 years for Bucher, Willis Consulting Engineers.

 

As longtime members of Hillcrest Covenant Church he was active in Children's Ministry, Congregational Care and Missions. He also had a wide variety of interests including travel, home improvement, gardening, hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

 

Bob is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carol; their 3 sons

Russell S. Lehman

Douglas R. Lehman (Karen), their daughters Monica and Melinda

and 1 great-grandson.

 

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth Kansas. Per Bob's wishes, a formal service will not be held.

 

In lieu of flowers Memorial gifts to Hillcrest Covenant Church, Prairie Village, Kansas  Hillcrest Covenant Church or the Salvation Army Donate to The Salvation Army.

Dear Carol, Greg,Russ, Doug and family, I wish I could be with you on December 5. I will be thinking of you and sending my love. Bob was a wonderful brother to me from an early age and he will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m grateful for the many memories. Thank you Carol for bringing him into my life, all of our lives. ❤️🙏
