Sharon Lee Bryan (Clements), a lifelong Missourian and beloved member of the Platte City community, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was 88 years old.
Born on February 26, 1937, in Platte City, Missouri, Sharon was the daughter of Walter “Sport” and Thelma Clements. She graduated from Platte County High School in 1955 and remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life.
Sharon was a devoted wife to her late husband, Jon Bryan, raising their family together. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter “Sport” and Thelma Clements. Also her children Kevin Bryan, Teresa Bryan, and Pam Swindler (Bryan), as well as her siblings Karen Sue and Tommy. Her sister-in-law Judy Clements also passed before her.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother Ray Clements; niece Erica Beck (Russ); grandchildren Ashley Neill (Bobby), Sarah Heiman (Matthew), Bryan Swindler (Jessica), and Brady Swindler (Taylor); and many great-grandchildren who brought joy to her later years.
A woman of deep faith, Sharon was a dedicated member of the First Christian Church of Platte City, MO. Here she found fellowship, purpose, and comfort throughout her life.
Sharon’s home was a gathering place—always open—a place of comfort, laughter, and meals shared together. One of the most distinctive features of her home was her remarkable collection of lamps, hundreds collected over the years, which became a cherished and unforgettable part of her home.
Above all else, Sharon cherished her family. Her greatest joy came from loving them deeply and unconditionally. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A funeral will be held on February 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, 708 3rd St. Platte City, MO 64079.
