In Loving Memory
November 11, 1958 – March 28, 2026
Mark Tidd passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, quiet presence, and unwavering love for those closest to him. Above all else, Mark deeply loved his wife, Christine Tidd. Their bond was the center of his life, and his love for her was constant, steady, and undeniable. The life they built together and the memories they shared will remain a lasting testament to that love.
Mark was a pilot, an avid lake-goer, and a devoted card player. He was a man of few words—but when he spoke, people listened. He found his greatest joy in life’s simple but meaningful moments: evenings at the lake, time spent on the boat, and sitting around the table playing cards with family and friends. Those moments, filled with laughter and connection, meant everything to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Tidd; his mother, Vera Tidd; and his brother, Steve Tidd and wife Debbie Tidd. He also leaves behind his children: Brian Tidd (Tiffany Tidd), Nicholas Tidd (April Tidd), Christopher Tidd (Tara Tidd), Mike Miller (Audrey Miller), Brandon Miller(Tiffany Miller). Mark was a proud grandfather to 12 cherished grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Tidd; his sister, Brenda Tidd; and his grandson, Payton Tidd.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to hospice nurse Beth for her compassion, care, and support during this time. A special and heartfelt thank you to Mark and Christine’s children for their incredible love, support, and hands-on care. Because of them, Christine was able to care for Mark at home, where he was most comfortable. Their help meant more than words can express.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark’s honor to Kansas Palliative Hospice Care (Luminous), the Lewy Body Foundation, or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Mark will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his wife, family, and friends. His legacy lives on in the memories made on the water, around the card table, and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held on April 8, 2026, at the American Legion Post 153, 410 E Dennis Ave, Olathe, KS 66061, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
