Samuel Scavuzzo, 63, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away after losing his battle to cancer on March 22, 2026

He is preceded in death by his parents Carl M. Scavuzzo and Edith Jo Scavuzzo.

He is survived by his siblings Liz Scavuzzo, Connie (Scavuzzo) & Jim Shay, Carl Michel Scavuzzo, Jr. and his son and daughter in-law Joseph and Katia Shapiro-Scavuzzo.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He enjoyed working in the grocery store business with his father Carl and his uncle Joe starting as a young boy into adulthood. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending his time outdoors, especially fishing, kayaking, and canoeing, which reflects his love for adventure and nature.  

He will be remembered and deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
