Candace Stafford-Whitman, née Anderson, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, in Leawood, Kansas, at the age of 75.
Born on June 20, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, Candace lived a life filled with creativity and love for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Whitman.
Candace is survived by her daughter, Jessica Rush and son-in-law Chris Rush, and by her granddaughters, Alexis, Lorelai, and Marlowe. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Tracey Whitman.
A lifelong pastel artist, Candace found beauty in the world around her and shared that beauty through her artwork. She had a special love for pottery and spent many years building a treasured collection that reflected her appreciation for craftsmanship and art. Those who knew Candace will remember her creative soul.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the many lives she touched through her artistry and quiet grace.
