Paul J. Dill passed away on May 22, 2026, at home with his family. Paul was the youngest of eight children and was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to June and Sally Dill on June 23, 1946. Paul married Janet D. Peters on December 31, 1965, before spending 19 months in the Philippines as a U.S. Air Force airplane mechanic. Over the years, Paul and Janet enjoyed camping, fishing, square dancing, and playing cards with their friends. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in December.
Paul is survived by his wife, Janet; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Diana Dill; daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Matt Sander; daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Joel Boyd; granddaughter Cassidy Kuechler and Reily Kuechler; granddaughter Caylea Dill and Josh Fyffe; granddaughters Sally and Alene Boyd; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Cheryl Dill; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Julia and Doug Weddle; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
For several decades, Paul was a respected home builder, land developer, and remodeler in Lee’s Summit. He worked alongside his wife, father-in-law and mother-in-law, uncle, brother-in-law, and later his son. Paul retired in 2011.
Paul was known as a kind and generous man with a playful sense of humor. Children and animals loved being around Paul, knowing he usually had a treat tucked away for them. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa and will be greatly missed.
