Bradford Hobart Lewis; born January 6, 1953 in Kansas City, Mo, passed away on May 14, 2026.
Brad was a man who loved his family. He married his wife Kathy in 1979, and together they raised five children, remaining devoted to each other until the day he left us; for 47 years. He loved to laugh and joke around. He was great with his hands and could make or fix just about anything. He remodeled two mere houses into family homes and had his hands in remodeling most of his children’s homes. He was an entrepreneur, a proud father, a talented musician, an athlete, an Air Force Veteran, a husband, and a Grandfather over the course of his 73 years. Missing him will be severe, but we are all lucky to have his strength.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents James and Jan Lewis, and his beloved son Joseph Brady. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Jo (Karson), as well as four of his children, six grandchildren and his dog, Coco. Daughter Nicole, her husband Jeff Collins and sons AJ and Connor of Overland Park. Daughter Shannon Lewis of Chicago; Daughter Samantha and her wife Ellie Eastes, of Kansas City. Son Sean and his wife Hayley (Thompson), and their two children Oaks and Aspen of Overland Park. As well as Joe’s two daughters Layla Pearl and Sidalee James-Bradford. He is also survived by his three siblings; Lynn, Jana and Chip, a swath of nieces and nephews and many longtime friends.
You can dream, Dad. We’ll miss you forever.
Visitation will be held for Brad on May 30, 2026 at 10am inside the Chapel at St. Ann’s Church in Prairie Village, Kansas. Memorial mass to follow at 11am.
