Jane Ellen Law, 71, of Smithville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026. Born on February 16, 1955, in Russell, Kansas, to Robert and Nancy Balloun.

Jane had a deep appreciation for beauty in everyday life. She was an avid gardener and artist who took great joy in decorating her home, collecting antiques, and hunting for treasures at thrift stores. She loved reading, watching movies, and sharing a quiet cup of tea. Her greatest delight, however, was time spent with her grandchildren. Those who knew her will fondly remember that she was never without her nails done and her lipstick on – a reflection of the grace and care she brought to all things.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Law; her children Megan Puglise (Michael), Savanna Daniels (Bradley), and Aiden Law; her grandchildren Madelyn Puglise, Zoe Daniels, and Oliver Daniels; and her sisters Mary Ann Kuhn (Mark) and Janet Stremel (Jerry).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at Vineyard Church KC, 12300 Arrowhead Trafficway, Kansas City, MO. The family kindly requests that guests wear non-black attire in celebration of Jane's life.
