Lindsey Natasha McMillen passed away on May 31, 2026, in Blue Springs, Missouri at the age of 38. Lindsey was born April 1, 1988, in Independence, Missouri.
A kind soul with a heart of gold. Lindsey loved openly and freely, and she was a beautiful, creative, and thoughtful soul who was drawn to life’s deeper meaning, purpose, and connection. She approached life with sincerity, compassion, and an open heart, and she will be missed greatly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Lindsey is survived by her beloved daughter, McKenzie (Kenzie Carter). She is also survived by her devoted parents, Debra Denise Curran and John McMillen (Peggy Sue) with her sisters, Nicole Wells, Stephanie Hampton, and Sammie Jenkins, her grandmother, Patricia Slavens, and Kenzie’s father, Justin Carter (Maranda), and Kenzie's sister, Lily Carter. She leaves behind a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lindsey knew no strangers. The many friends she gathered throughout her life were all considered family, and she loved them as her own.
She was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and Joseph McMillen, Richard Slavens, and Ted Summers.
