Zita Cleaver, born January 24, 1930, in North Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 96.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Simmons (Cleaver), brother Pat Harkins, granddaughters Krista Barnhart and Kayla Hanna, and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Gerald Cleaver, and siblings Daniel Harkins, Mary Fortner, Dorothy Wilson, and Clyde Harkins.
Zita’s memory will be cherished by those who knew her.
