Galen Anderson passed peacefully on September 14,2026 in Lee’s Summit,Mo. He was born on December 30,1943 in Waterloo, Iowa to Evelyn Ann Viola Russell and Richard Rudolph Anderson.

Galen lived and worked in Iowa almost 60 years before retiring to Arizona for the next 20 years. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He also loved red mustang cars and catching a good western on television.

Galen was also known for helping people in his community.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sandi, sister Karen Anderson, daughters Kristine Anderson and Kim Chancellor, and grandsons Chase and Coby Chancellor.

Memorial will be at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens in Lees’s Summit, Mo. Date and time TBD.
