Richard Eugene Linman, 82, of Platte City, MO passed away on September 21st, 2026. He was born in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Mabel Linman.  Richard served in the United States Navy from 1961-1965 where he was able to travel the world.  He was part of the Cuban Blockade in 1962.  He was a skilled semi-trailer mechanic in Chicago for most of his career. 

Richard was married to Donna Linman for 33 years until her passing in 2014.  He is survived by his daughter, Robbin (Matthew), and stepson, Mark (Amy).  He was “Grandpa Richard” and “Papa” to Bobby, Aliyah, and Zoey.  He is survived by his brother Jim and sister Linda.   

Richard loved reading, sweet treats, fishing, and especially his cat, Chance.   

He is now reunited with the love of his life, and his family is grateful for that.  He will be missed every day.
